7 Day Crozier - North & West Ireland Small Group Tour

7 Days, 6 Nights 7 Days Starts in Dublin & Ends in Dublin

Tour highlights

Experience the breadth of Irish history from famine to freedom as you sweep down from the land of Giants to the castle of pirates. Your driver will weave through tales of modern conflict in Belfast & Derry to ancient Celtic beliefs of the true Gaelic communities of the wild west coast of Ireland.

The Crozier tour is named after Northern Ireland born explorer, Francis Crozier. Crozier was a major figure in the exploration of the Arctic and Antarctic regions during the middle of the 19th century and was a central figure in the three great endeavors of the age – navigating the North West Passage, reaching the North Pole and mapping the unknown Antarctic. Like Crozier, you’ll be navigating your way through the varied terrain of the Antrim coast with fellow like-minded travelers.

Antrim Coast & Ballintoy

This morning, you will visit the world-famous attraction - the Titanic Museum. This museum extends over nine galleries, telling the Titanic story in an interactive, fresh and insightful way.

From Belfast, the tour will be moving on to the breathtaking Antrim coast. The Antrim coast road has been compared to the Great Ocean Road in Australia and California and you will see why. En Route, the tour will take in famous Game of Thrones locations and the stunning Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, where you can sway Indiana Jones’ style over the choppy Atlantic Ocean below. This will be followed by an amazing hike along the Causeway Coastal route, from Ballintoy Harbor to White Park Bay, with stunning views of Bengore Head to the North West and Rathlin Island to the North East.

Giants Causeway & Antrim Coast

After a ‘wee’ photo stop at ‘The Dark Hedges’ this morning, you will hike along the North’s top tourist attraction - The Giant's Causeway. The Giant’s Causeway, renowned for its polygonal columns of layered basalt, is the only World Heritage Site in Northern Ireland. Resulting from a volcanic eruption 60 million years ago, this is the focal point of a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that has been attracting visitors for centuries.

You will hop back on the bus for a short drive for a guided tour of Ireland's oldest working distillery, Bushmills. After a few well-earned tastings, you will travel along the coast to the historic Portrush.

Portrush to Donegal

Today, you will head back to the Republic of Ireland, to Donegal, but before that, you will be taken on an award-winning guided tour of Derry City. The tour has been described by many as possibly the Best Walking Tour on the Island of Ireland. Afterwards, you will cross the border to Donegal and travel up the foothill of a mountain, known as An Grianan Aileach, an ancient stone fort with breathtaking views from the top.

Onward then, to explore Glenveagh National park by bike or by foot. The park is a remote and hauntingly beautiful wilderness of rugged mountains, pristine lakes, tumbling waterfalls and enchanted native oak woodland in the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains in the north-west of County Donegal.
