Arrive in Dublin

Ireland Luxury Travel airport transfer will meet you off your plane at arrivals. He will help you with your bags and bring you to your hotel for an early check in. Refresh and rest in your luxurious room for the morning until you are ready for lunch and some exploring. Ireland Luxury Travel can have a local guide meet you at your hotel and bring you for 2.5 hrs through Dublin city centre. Discover the history and culture of Ireland's capital, get your bearings and your location within the city centre.

Dublin City Sightseeing Day

The next day in Dublin, you will enjoy some sightseeing in Ireland’s vibrant capital city. Do it alone or avail of a driver guide. Don’t miss the Guinness Store house to experience the history and the taste of Ireland's famous pint of stout. Ireland Luxury Travel recommend a visit to the Old Library of Trinity College for the Book of Kells, an ancient manuscript hand painted by monks. Ireland Luxury Travel can provide a local whiskey expert to bring you through Temple bar for the pubs and whiskey tasting and on to Jameson Distillery, to take the guided tour. There is also Dublinia museum and Christchurch Cathedral to experience the history of the Vikings in Dublin. Wicklow Mountains and National Park

Make an early start. Your driver will pick you up at the hotel to discuss your plans for the rest of your tour of Ireland. Alternatively, you can collect your car hire, with GPS included, and set out on your own adventure! Head south out of the city through the pretty seaside towns of Dun Laoghaire and Dalkey. Make your way to the Wicklow National Park and visit the beautiful Glendalough, renowned for an early medieval monastic settlement founded in the 6th century by St Kevin. Your expert walking guide is knowledgeable on the local wildlife of the Glendalough valley and will take you to the best vistas for some amazing photo opportunities. Make your way back to the majestic Powerscourt House and Gardens (voted top 3 gardens in the World by National Geographic) and spend the rest of the day exploring the stunning estate. Enjoy some shopping in the Avoca crafts shop and lunch in the cafe looking out over the fantastic garden landscape.

Powerscourt to Waterford

This morning, you will head south to Wexford. This Viking town was settled in about 800 AD and the streets still have their ancient layout. Visit Hook lighthouse (oldest working lighthouse in the world), Johnstown Castle (once home of the Fitzgerald family), Dunbrody Famine ship (learn of the emigrants sad and inspiring stories), or the Kennedy Homestead (home of JFK’s family ancestors) in New Ross. Finally, you will arrive at your Waterford hotel and enjoy some fine dining and great views while you unwind.

Waterford Leisure Day

Relax today and enjoy your luxury accommodation. Take a stroll through Waterford city and enjoy a private guided tour of the House of Waterford Crystal Visitor’s Centre. This is still a working factory so you guide will bring you through and explain the manufacturing processes.

Waterford to Kilkenny

Make a leisurely start today. You will take a short drive to Kilkenny town. Visit the imposing Kilkenny Castle to experience medieval Ireland. Explore the town and enjoy the sights and shopping. Kilkenny has some great cafes and restaurants to enjoy a lovely day of relaxing and soaking up the Irish culture and local life.

Kilkenny to the Boyne Valley

You will drive to the Rock of Cashel this morning and see the majestic ruin that was once the seat of the High Kings of Munster. Join the guided tour and discover the long history of this imposing and stunning ruin. Make your way to a midlands whiskey distillery for lunch and an afternoon tasting tour. Alternatively, Ireland Luxury Travel can arrange for a private guide to bring you on the rarely visited Slieve Bloom Hills. Enjoy the quite countryside, get away from everything and experience the unspoiled Irish Countryside.

Boyne Valley

Take the day to explore the Boyne Valley, at the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East. First, you will visit Newgrange (c 3,200 B.C.), the best-known monument of the World Heritage Site of Brú na Bóinne, predating the ancient Egyption pyramids by 400 years and England's Stonehenge by 1000. The fantastic visitors center draws you into this ancient world and helps you discover life for these ancient Irish farmers so long ago. Visit Monasterboice (an early Christian site with a round tower and 10th century High Cross), the famous Hill of Tara (seat of the high kings of Ireland) or Trim Castle (Ireland's largest Anglo-Norman castle, recognizable as part of Mel Gibson's movie "Braveheart" castle film set). You will return to your hotel for a good night sleep before your flight home.
